Statutory Holidays in Manitoba

Here is the list of holidays in Manitoba that are different from the national holidays in Canada celebrated across the country.

Louis Riel Day is observed on the third Monday of February (this is Family day in some other provinces)
Remembrance day and Boxing day are not official holidays but many people take the time off anyway. If they are required to work - for example: retail sector employees - then 1.5x salary may be paid for that day. If these days aren't worked then extra pay is not given.
Manitoba's civic holiday on the first Monday of August is Terry Fox Day.
